For the second time since 2018, a Virginia county took the top spot in U.S. News & World Report's healthiest communities rankings. This marks the sixth edition of the rankings.

Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Ga., received first place in healthcare staffing firm Soliant's "Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S."

The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia topped U.S. News & World Report's 2024 rankings of best executive MBA programs.

Compared to 2023, CMS has awarded 102 fewer hospitals its five-star quality rating. 

CMS updated its Overall Hospital Quality Star Ratings on July 31, assigning one star to 276 hospitals. 

Minnesota is the best state for healthcare when it comes to affordability and quality and Mississippi is the worst, according to WalletHub's 2024 ranking published July 29.
