Six states each have two cities featured among the top 25 places to retire in the U.S., according to the May 9 list published by Forbes.

Forbes analyzed more than 950 locations with populations above 10,000 across every state, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico. It evaluated them on factors including housing costs, healthcare access, taxes, climate change risk, air quality and crime.

Affordability was a major focus, with 22 of the 25 locations having median home prices at or below the national median.

The 25 locations span 19 states and all U.S. time zones, with a near-even split between warmer and colder climates.
