Maryland's Peninsula Regional Health Doubles Earnings for 2011

The following report was compiled by Principle Valuation, based on hospital financial reports obtained through the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board's Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA) database. Staffed/available bed-size data comes from the American Hospital Association's AHA Guide, edition 2010 and 2011.

Peninsula Regional Health System in Salisbury, Md., reported earnings of $56.27 million for its fiscal year 2011, more than double its earnings of $25.58 million during 2010. The health system added 42 beds during the year, and its earnings per bed soared from $64,598 in 2010 to $128,470 in 2011. For more information, see the chart below.
