WHO issues guidance on blood transfusion for Ebola patients

The World Health Organization has released an interim guidance on blood transfusion as an Ebola treatment.

The current Ebola outbreak has no proven treatment, but blood collected from patients who have recovered from the disease has been used as an empirical treatment and been prioritized for investigation.
