The healthcare organizations that were recognized for meeting or exceeding the commission’s reporting standards include:
• Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend and University District, Springfield and Eugene
• Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford
• Samaritan Albany General Hospital in Albany
• Providence Newberg Medical Center in Newberg
• Oregon SurgiCenter in Springfield
• River Road Surgery Center in Salem
The commission hopes the recognition will encourage other facilities, especially surgery centers and nursing homes, to voluntarily report patient harm data in greater numbers, according to the report.
