Stamford Hospital receives Magnet designation

The American Nurses Credentialing Center has recognized Stamford (Conn.) Hospital for its excellence in nursing with Magnet designation.

The ANCC Magnet Recognition Program identifies healthcare organizations that offer exemplary patient care, show nursing excellence and offer innovative nursing practice. The distinction places Stamford among roughly 7 percent of hospitals nationwide recognized as a Magnet organization.

“Being recognized with Magnet status is a testament to the exceptional care our nurses provide to patients and families every day,” said Ellen Komar, RN, CNO at Stamford, in a release. “We are incredibly proud of our team for achieving this most prestigious distinction.”
