The American Hospital Association met with the White House Rural Council and rural health leaders in a meeting to discuss ways to enhance federal healthcare programs serving rural communities, according to an AHA News Now report.

HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced rural healthcare providers will receive more than $10.4 million to provide direct health care services to their communities.
