1. The infection occurred in a young adult who visited a state with confirmed measles infections.
2. The case marks Ohio’s first reported measles infection since 2017. The state’s last confirmed measles outbreak occurred in 2014 and sickened 382 people.
3. Ohio is now the 29th state to report a measles infection in 2019.
4. As of July 3, the CDC has reported 1,109 measles cases nationwide this year.
