The New York state legislature is reviewing legislation that provides state authorization for the use of long-term antibiotic therapy for continued symptoms post-treatment of Lyme disease, according to a Poughkeepsie Journal report.
The legislation also provides protection from state oversight and disciplinary actions for health professionals who prescribe the aforementioned therapy, according to the report.
