Additionally, 23 infants have been born in the U.S. with Zika-related birth defects as of Oct. 20, and five pregnancies with birth defects have been lost, according to the CDC.
Zika is a mosquito-borne and sexually transmitted disease. In the U.S., there have been 139 Zika cases acquired by mosquitoes in Florida, the only state with active Zika transmission. Another 33 cases in the U.S. have been acquired sexually as of Oct. 26.
All total, as of Oct. 26, there are 4,091 Zika cases in the U.S.
