In a press release on Monday, Dublin-based Medtronic announced the launch of Euphora Semicompliant Balloon Dilatation Catheter in coutires that recognize the CE mark.
The catheter has already been used at the Freeman Hospital in the United Kingdom, the press release noted.
Vice President and General Manager of the Medtronic Coronary Business Jason Weidman noted, "The Euphora family of balloons is a giant leap forward in balloon technology and builds upon our successful multi-brand strategy, which includes offering premium products and premium prices to help meet different customer needs."
The balloon is currently not available in the United States.
