Infectious Diseases Detection Technology Improved Profitability at Kettering Medical Center

Kettering (Ohio) Medical Center saw a positive financial impact of $3.7 million in the past year after implementing new testing technology that diagnoses a wide variety of infectious diseases faster and more accurately than traditional testing, according to a news release.

In 2010, Kettering Medical Center partnered with DIATHERIX Laboratories and developed the DIATHERIX test, which takes approximately six hours to perform, compared to conventional technology requiring a minimum of 48 hours.
