The website — called the Oregon Hospital Guide — includes data and quality metrics from CMS and gives users access to a hospital compare function. Outcomes for heart attack care, emergency care, surgical care, infection prevention and patient satisfaction are all available on the new site and will be updated quarterly.
“This website shows Oregon hospitals’ continued commitment to transparency,” said Diane Waldo, associate vice president of quality and clinical programs for OAHHS. “We believe that making hospital data accessible and understandable helps patients and families with their health care decisions.”
OAHHS also announced plans to expand the data to include patient utilization and hospital financial data in the first quarter of 2016.
