The survey includes responses from 530 hospital C-suite executives and materials and practice area managers.
The top three biggest barriers to achieving clinical integration, according to the survey, are:
• Physicians and other providers being unwilling — 29 percent of respondents reported this as being the biggest barrier.
• Difficulties in implementation of cross-continuum electronic health records — 21 percent reported this as being the biggest barrier.
• Lack of budget to create integration among providers — 16 percent reported this as being the biggest barrier.
