Geisinger Expands Primary Care Accessibility

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System has broken ground on a new primary care facility in Nanticoke, Pa., according to a report by The Citizens’ Voice.

The 12,000 square-foot building will have adult and pediatric primary care services and an on-site lab. The practice will employ about 13 people, including two physicians and a case manager. It is expected to open in 2013, according to the report.

The addition of the practice expands Geisinger’s community practice services, which currently includes 40 locations, according to the report.
