For instance, just 43 percent of physicians expressed satisfaction with the state’s practice environment.
Additionally, 53 percent of physicians are dissatisfied with the divide between patient care and administrative tasks. Massachusetts’ primary care physicians are particularly unhappy with the split: 59 percent of family and internal medicine physicians were unhappy trading patient care tasks in order to perform the necessary administrative tasks, according to the study.
The study’s data is based on a survey of practicing physicians across the state.
