For the week of March 27 through April 2, the proportion of outpatient visits for flu-related illness in the U.S. was above the national baseline of 2.1 percent, but was still at its lowest point in three weeks. However, seven influenza-associated pediatric deaths were reported, the highest week of the 2015-2016 season so far, totaling 40 deaths overall.
