Dr. Debra Patt named editor-in-chief of ASCO’s new journal

The American Society of Clinical Oncology has named Debra Patt, MD, the editor-in-chief of the organization’s news publication, titled JCO Clinical Cancer Informatics.

Dr. Patt, a medical oncologist and hematologist, is vice president of Dallas-based Texas Oncology and the medical director of outcomes research and the pathways task force for The US Oncology Network.

As the head of the peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary journal, Dr. Patt will manage the development and production of each issue of JCO CCI. The publication will cover clinically relevant research on policy, healthcare services delivery, biomedical informatics methods and processes applied to cancer-related data.
