This season’s vaccination rate is just slightly higher than last year’s rate of 61.9 percent. Other key findings from the survey include the following:
• Among HCP who reported working at a facility where vaccination was required by their employer, 98.1 percent were vaccinated.
• Among HCP without an employer requirement but who were offered vaccination onsite, greater coverage was associated with a personal reminder from the employer to get vaccinated (69.9 percent), vaccination availability at no cost (67.9 percent) and vaccination availability for more than one day (68.8 percent).
• Vaccination coverage was higher among HCP working in hospitals (71.1 percent), compared with those working in ambulatory or outpatient centers (61.5 percent) and “other” healthcare settings (46.7 percent).
• Vaccination coverage among physicians (84.2 percent) was similar to coverage among nurse practitioners and physician assistants (82.6 percent).
