AHA appoints Dr. Robyn Begley chief nursing officer, CEO of AONE

The American Hospital Association selected Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, to serve as CEO of the American Organization of Nurse Executives as well as senior vice president and chief nursing officer of the AHA.

Dr. Begley most recently served as vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer at Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare. She joined AtlantiCare in 1983 and worked her way up the ranks.

Dr. Begley is a current member of the AONE board as well as chair of the AONE Foundation board. She has received several awards over the course of her career, including the Newark, N.J.-based Rutgers School of Nursing’s Visionary Leader Award.

“Robyn is known as an innovative leader in the field, and we are pleased to have her bring decades of real-world experience to her new role with AONE and the AHA,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack.

AONE is a subsidiary of the AHA.
