Dr. Begley most recently served as vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer at Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare. She joined AtlantiCare in 1983 and worked her way up the ranks.
Dr. Begley is a current member of the AONE board as well as chair of the AONE Foundation board. She has received several awards over the course of her career, including the Newark, N.J.-based Rutgers School of Nursing’s Visionary Leader Award.
“Robyn is known as an innovative leader in the field, and we are pleased to have her bring decades of real-world experience to her new role with AONE and the AHA,” said AHA President and CEO Rick Pollack.
AONE is a subsidiary of the AHA.
