AAMC Releases Guide to Evaluating Public Report Card Quality

The Association of American Medical Colleges has released a guide to evaluating the quality of public report cards, entitled ‘Guiding Principles for Public Reporting of Provider Performance.’

Created by a 19-person workgroup spanning several universities and hospitals, the guide covers evaluation criteria for purpose, transparency and validity of the data, including explanations of the terms and a checklist for quality evaluation in each category.
