AACN issues practice alerts on CAUTIs, VTE and delirium

The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses has issued three new practice alerts covering some of the most serious complications that can affect critically ill patients — delirium, catheter-associated urinary tract infections and venous thromboembolism.

Each practice alerts outlines the scope of the problem, lists expected nursing practice and gives evidence and research behind the practices.
