Additionally, the CDC reported there have been five pregnancy losses, including miscarriages, stillbirths and terminations with evidence of Zika-related birth defects.
And there could be more affected children in the future, as there were 1,114 pregnant women in the U.S. with any lab evidence of Zika infection as of Nov. 17.
In total, there were 4,496 Zika infections in the U.S. as of Nov. 30. Most of those (4,310) were travel-related, but 185 were acquired by mosquitoes in the U.S. (184 in Florida and one in Texas).
