132 sickened in 11-state cyclospora outbreak

A foodborne cyclospora outbreak has sickened 132 people in 11 states due to basil imported from Mexico, the Food and Drug administration announced July 25, according to The Miami Herald.

The Siga Logistics de RL de CV, a company based in Morelos, Mexico, is voluntarily recalling its basil, the FDA said. 

The eleven states with cases are Florida, New York, Georgia, South Carolina, Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin.
