The Virginia university’s status is now once again “accredited with probation,” as it had been since July 2017 after being cited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education for compliance issues with “educational outcomes” and “progression.”
The council revoked the school’s accreditation Feb. 11, and the school quickly appealed the decision. The accreditation was restored Feb. 12, “during the period of appeal,” the university said.
Students of the pharmacy school will be able to graduate and take the licensure exam with no adverse effect.
