An investigation found that 39 forged prescriptions for Percocet were filled in various CVS pharmacies and that pharmacists should have known that the prescriptions were invalid.
CVS denies any wrongdoing, and told WPRI that it “agreed to this settlement to avoid the delay, uncertainty and expense of litigation.”
