CVS buys 9 North Carolina pharmacies

CVS will acquire nine retail pharmacies in North Carolina, according to the Carteret County News Times.

Medical Park Pharmacy, Family Care Pharmacy and Havelock Drug together will sell their retail pharmacies to CVS, which will maintain operations at three locations and close the other six. All pharmacy files and inventory will be transferred to the nearest CVS Pharmacy. 

The three locations will reopen as CVS pharmacies in mid-July.
