The robotics system was installed by Swisslog Healthcare. BoxPicker automates tasks previously done by human workers with the goal of increasing efficiency, according to an Oct. 21 Swisslog news release.

“We are always looking for innovative ways to support our patients and caregivers at St. Mary’s,” Rudy Bormann, director of pharmacy services at St. Mary’s Medical Center, said. “The technology we needed to fulfill our needs had to solve previously unmet challenges and have modular options that we can add on in time as we grow and establish new workflows.”
