Boehringer Ingelheim to shake up exec team

Heading into next year, German drugmaker Boehringer Ingelheim will have a refreshed executive team, according to EndPoints News

The drugmaker announced Aug. 26 that Allan Hillgrove, its head of pharmaceuticals and biopharma will retire at the end of the year. Mr. Hillgrove, who has been at the company for 37 years, will be replaced by Carine Brouillon, who joined the drugmaker from Johnson & Johnson.

Additionally, the drugmaker’s head of animal health unit Joachim Hasenmaier will retire at the end of the year. He will be succeeded by Jean Scheftsik de Szolnok, currently head of Boehringer’s  business in France, who has been with the company 32 years.

Boehringer’s head of personnel, Andreas Neumann will step down at the end of September, because the human resources department responsibilities will be shared by the CEO and CFO.
