Here are three things to know about the advancements.
1. UnitedHealth intends to extend analytics, technology and care coordination support to healthcare providers participating in bundled payment models. CMS’ Bundled Payments for Care Improvement Advanced, which launches later this year, is one of the programs UnitedHealth wants to support.

3. The insurer’s pledge comes as CMS canceled hip fracture and cardiac bundled payment programs and rolled back some mandatory requirements in the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement Model.
