Top 10 Medicare Advantage plans ranked by member satisfaction

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente’s Medicare Advantage plan, for the fourth consecutive year, ranked highest in member satisfaction, according to the J.D. Power 2018 Medicare Advantage Study.

The study, which collected responses from 3,442  U.S. plan members, measured their satisfaction with the plans — also known as Medicare Part C or Part D — by considering six factors. In order of importance, they are:

  • Coverage and benefits
  • Customer service
  • Claims processing
  • Cost
  • Provider choice
  • Information and communication

The study ranks Medicare Advantage plans on a 1,000 point scale.

Here are the top Medicare Advantage plans for member satisfaction, along with their scores out of 1,000, according to J.D. Power:

1. Kaiser Permanente: 841

2. Highmark: 807

3. Cigna-HealthSpring: 798

4. Humana: 796

5. UnitedHealthcare: 787

6. BlueCross Blue Shield of Michigan: 783

7. Aetna: 780

7. Health Net All Well: 780

9. Anthem: 778

10. WellCare: 742
