The two sides have been in negotiations to address the 10-year-old contract since July 2016, according to a news release.

“We are pleased we have successfully and mutually reached a new agreement with Aetna,” Richard Rhine, senior vice president of revenue cycle at Grady, said in the release. “This new agreement means that Aetna members continue to have access to the unparalleled skill and experience that Grady provides area residents.”

Grady is one of the nation’s largest safety-net health systems, comprising the 953-bed Grady Memorial Hospital, six neighborhood health centers, Crestview Health & Rehabilitation Center, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding, which is operated as a Children’s affiliate.
