A gaseous odor forced Sacramento, Calif.-based UC Davis Medical Center to evacuate March 7, according to the Sacramento Bee.
Fire and hazardous materials crews fled to the scene and announced evacuations around 11:22 a.m. March 7 following reports of a gaseous odor. Hazmat crews determined the odor was diesel exhaust from a generator at the medical center.
No one was injured in the incident. However, two people initially complained of headaches, but later declined transportation to the emergency room.
The evacuation order was lifted about an hour after crews arrived on the scene. All operations have returned to normal.
