Warsaw, Ind.-based Miller’s Health System will shutter the 21-bed short-term rehabilitation unit it operates at Logansport (Ind.) Memorial Hospital April 1, according to the Pharos-Tribune.

The unit, called The Arbor, helped Medicare patients rehabilitate for three weeks post hospital stay.

“There just wasn’t the number of admissions to keep that unit completely functional,” Miller’s CEO Patrick Boyle told the Pharos-Tribune.

There were no patients staying in the unit as of March 1, which means there will be no need to transfer patients. The short-term rehabilitation beds will move to Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.
