For the 11th consecutive year, Tampa General Hospital was ranked one of the best in the country for orthopedics for 2015-16 by U.S. News & World Report, and the publication also named it as high-performing in knee replacement in its common care ratings this year. The hospital, which is Magnet-designated for nursing excellence, takes a multidisciplinary approach to provide comprehensive orthopedic care, coordinated by a team of physicians, ARNPs, RNs, physical and occupational therapists, social workers and care coordinators. Tampa General’s 34-bed orthopedic trauma unit and knee, hip and shoulder replacement programs are certified by The Joint Commission.
