Neurosurgeon Jeffrey Hatef, MD, had his medical license suspended after performing "unnecessary operations" on three patients, two of whom died, The Columbus Dispatch reported Feb. 20.

Cam Jurgens, a center for the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, underwent spine surgery Feb. 18, ESPN reported.

Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health has been forced to postpone elective surgeries, including hip replacements, after breaking ties with its long-term anesthesia group. 

East Brunswick, N.J.-based Children's Specialized Hospital, part of the Children's Health network at RWJBarnabas Health, has launched a pediatric orthopedic program.
