The 50-bed, long-term acute-care hospital has been in operation since late last year as part of a six-month demonstration period.
Although affiliated with Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, the hospital will take referrals from OSF Saint Francis Medical Center and Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
