Kentucky’s Three Rivers Medical Center Completes Second Phase of Surgery Department Expansion

Three Rivers Medical Center in Louisa, Ky., is nearing completion of the second phase of a three-phase $4.2 million expansion project, according to a report by the Levisa Lazer.

The first phase of the project, which was completed earlier this year, included the addition of two new OR suites and a new recovery room. The second phase includes new central sterilization unit and a new patient waiting room and consultation area, according to the report.

The third phase, which will be completed by spring, will include an expanded waiting area, a break room and expanded storage areas.

The facility will also add narrow band imaging capabilities for use in the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract, according to the report.
