Heat Wave Knocks Out Massachusetts’ Jordan Hospital OR Air Conditioning

Two rooftop air conditioning units at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Mass., crashed last week, leaving the operating rooms, emergency room and other areas temporarily without cooling, according to a Patriot Ledger report.

OR and ER activity were back to normal after the hospital set up portable AC units during the New England area’s hottest stretch of this summer, the report said.

The report also said hospital officials confirmed patient care was not compromised, and no patients had to be transferred.
