The program is at the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center at Scottsdale Shea Medical Center and is designed to help patients with aggressive blood cancers. The program includes an outpatient center and a 13-bed inpatient unit.
Two physicians and nearly 40 staff members run the program. Many of the clinicians are from Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, which relocated its bone marrow transplant program to the new Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Gilbert, Ariz.
