5 organizations launching nursing programs

Here are five organizations opening or expanding nursing programs:

  1. Indianapolis-based Marian University’s school of nursing and Ascension St. Vincent are partnering to address nursing shortages in Indiana.
  2. University of Phoenix college of nursing is now offering concentrations in the Master of Science in nursing degree program for advanced practice and clinical nurse leadership in administration, informatics or education.
  3. Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Hospital and Henniker, N.H.-based New England College are partnering to offer an accelerated, three-year Bachelor of Science in nursing program.
  4. Gardner, Mass.-based Mount Wachusett Community College received a $525,000 Nursing Pathways Expansion Grant from the state to incorporate the certified nursing assistant program into early college and dual enrollment pathways at local high schools.
  5. Davenport, Iowa-based St. Ambrose University is adding licensed practical nursing to Bachelor of Science in nursing and registered nurse to BSN degree programs.
