The 421,000-square-foot facility includes 122 private rooms and eight operating rooms. It also includes a rainwater harvesting system and a parking structure that uses solar panels as a source of energy.
The new facility has earned LEED gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, and Kaiser Permanente plans on pursuing LEED gold certification for all new hospitals and major construction projects.
