The Heal, Educate, Reach, Overcome award is bestowed upon 10 nominees. Each winner will receive a plaque recognizing his or her service, a story featured online, a one-year subscription to a nursing magazine and a nursing reference textbook of his or her choosing.

“The Ansell H.E.R.O. Nurse Service Award was established as a way to demonstrate our appreciation and admiration for nurses: their professionalism, dedication and compassion,” said Anthony López, president and general manager of the medical global business unit at Ansell, in a company news release. “Nurses are the heart of healthcare. More than anything, they dispense comfort, compassion and caring to all of their patients with no prescription required. This is our way of saying thank you!”

The online nomination form is open until April 26. Online voting will take place from April 27 to May 24.
