The decision by Judge Gladys Kessler of Federal District Court for the District of Columbia joins two other opinions in favor of the law. Two federal judges have struck down all or part of the law. A federal judge in Florida recently struck down the whole law while another federal judge stuck down the law’s mandate to buy health insurance.
Federal judges across the country have more than 20 challenges of the law on their dockets. The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the cases eventually.
