In 2012, SUNY Upstate and Cor agreed to a joint venture that gave Cor 75 percent ownership of the land on the basis that Cor would pursue a $300 million development of the offices.
Nothing was built on the property and, in 2019, SUNY Upstate tried to get out of the deal, leading to a lawsuit from Cor. Now, after three years, SUNY Upstate has settled the lawsuit for an undisclosed amount and will regain control of the land.
