The group, comprised largely of physicians, believes the hospital has a legal obligation to cover the physicians’ malpractice coverage expenses until time expires for patients treated at St. Vincent’s to file malpractice suits, which in most cases is 2.5 years, according to the report.
An attorney for the physicians’ group is currently in negotiations with the hospital, which is now in bankruptcy.
