In this role, he will advise HHS on ambulatory payment classification and the appropriate levels of supervision for hospital outpatient services, according to SSM.
Mr. Zimmer’s term started Feb. 1 and runs through January 31, 2017.
He has than 30 years of experience in healthcare finance. Before joining SSM in 2003, Mr. Zimmer served as CFO for Norton Healthcare in Louisville, Ky.
