In his new role, Mr. Demske will oversee 75 staff members and provide the Inspector General and OIG legal services, including assistance in OIG’s audits and evaluations, investigations and resolutions of healthcare fraud cases, compliance program guidance and advisory opinions.
Mr. Demske joined HHS in September 1990 and served as assistant inspector general for legal affairs since 2005.
Former Chief Counsel Lewis Morris retired yesterday.
