Spurring the suspension is an ongoing litigation battle between Florida Hospital of Orlando and the OFCCP over whether the hospital is a federal contractor because it is a TRICARE network provider.
The OFFCP has said the hospital should be designated as a federal contractor, a claim that would override a Congressional ruling that exempts TRICARE network providers who only do business with the government for that reason from registering as federal contractors.
The OFFCP said it will put some TRICARE provider compliance evaluations on hold, pending a decision by the Department of Labor Administrative Review Board regarding Florida Hospital of Orlando.
The American Hospital Association wrote a friend-of-the-court letter on behalf of the Florida Hospital of Orlando.
