Sandra Jeannett Martin was arrested Sept. 20 and charged with forgery, unlicensed practice of nursing and making false statements regarding employment in a healthcare facility.
Authorities did not disclose the name of the nursing home that employed Ms. Martin but said she was initially hired as a social worker. Ms. Martin allegedly used the identity of an actual LPN, also named Sandra Martin, to convince her employer she was licensed as a nurse.
“Martin worked over 1,000 hours while posing as [an] LPN and fraudulently treated over 100 patients issuing medication, completing numerous medical documents and being responsible for patient care,” the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Ms. Martin faces up to $20,000 in bonds.
